Friendship Circle

Meetings/Activities

Friendship Circle is a social group for seniors, and meets at St Mark’s at 10.15am on the first Wednesday of each month from February to December inclusive. Some members join in the Wednesday 9.30am Communion Service. Each member receives a program of activities. Guest speakers are sometimes featured and activities include musical mornings and occasional outings.

Origins

The Anglican Friendship Circle for Senior Citizens was formed on August 2, 1972 in the time of the Rev. Cliff Brown. We give thanks for his life, which ended on Earth on October 2, 2006. It has operated at St Marks since 1985 when it moved from the former associated Church of the Good Shepherd, St John’s Wood (now Ashgrove Baptist Church).
